Media Deception

So, reading some news headlines came across an article titled this by the AP:

“Thousands rally in Georgia to question the vote and demand a new election”

With the 2024 Presidential Election having just finished, many areas wrapping up recently it was interesting.  Georgia had been in the news recently due to an election court case.  The Supreme Court of Georgia had ruled that several thousand mail in ballots would not be accepted as they arrived late.

So with those two events in mind you open the article and it takes you a second to understand, they are not talking about Georgia the state, but Georgia the country.

This entire headline was done in a way to attract conflict within the US between the left and right.

In the comments you can see many failed to even read the article, going only by the headline.  To clarify it should mention its talking about the country Georgia.  This isn’t because people don’t know there is a country Georgia, but if your readers are all in the US they will assume you are talking about the state.

The deception brings in the clicks which is what this is designed to do meanwhile we are looking like idiots.

So be careful when assuming anything the media tells us.
