Recently on CNN James Foley’s mother, Diane Foley spoke out against the government and their efforts to rescue her son.
“As an American, I was embarrassed and appalled. I think our efforts to get Jim freed were an annoyance, you know?” Diane Foley said during the interview before continuing on.
“It didn’t seem to be in our strategic interest, if you will. I was appalled as an American. Jim would have been saddened. Jim believed until the end that his country would come to their aid. I pray that our government would be willing to learn from the mistakes that were made and to acknowledge that there are better ways for American citizens to be treated.”
This is after Obama delayed the rescue mission by almost a month, ensuring that the intelligence for the original mission had become outdated. There is still no good explanation on why the President delayed the action, other than he was concerned over his image.
Its comforting to know that the administration treats its citizens so well when in harms way. And of course this comes after the Bergdahl trade which the administration traded five radical muslims for a soldier who walked off his base.
When will a real leader for the USA stand up? Its sad when the family of a US citizen, who was beheaded by a radical muslim group, which had declared war on the USA, is treated so poorly by the administration.
