With a third case of Ebola now in the USA and the second person to get it here in the States, there was a rush of statements from various sources.  The CDC continues to tell us there is nothing wrong, even while the nurses union comes out and tells the world how unprepared we are to combat this disease.

Now the White House has spoken up. “People should continue to be confident in the response of the federal government to this specific situation,” Press Secretary Josh Earnest said in a statement yesterday. Continue reading…

National Nurses United Statement on Ebola is Chilling

The nurses union, National Nurses United, has released a statement about the preparations they received from the CDC when handling Ebola patients.  If true the statement provides a chilling look into how unprepared the CDC was, and still is, to protecting the public at large from a spread of this disease.

One part of the statement reads: “there was no advanced preparedness on what to do with the patient. There was no protocol, there was no system. The nurses were asked to call the Infectious Disease Department. The Infectious Disease Department did not have clear policies to provide either.” Continue reading…

CDC Director on Ebola

CDC Director , Tom Frieden, has come out with a new quote about Ebola, we must rethink it.

“We have to rethink the way we address Ebola infection control because even a single infection is unacceptable. It doesn’t change the fact that we know how Ebola spreads — It does change, substantially, how we approach it.”

Its an ironic statement considering the event so the past couple of weeks. Continue reading…

Wendy Davis Ad

Wendy Davis, the democratic party nominee for Texas Governor appears to have struck a wrong note with many people, including other liberals with her latest political ad.  The ad which tries to attack the Republican nominee, Greg Abbott.

Even MSNBC Miki Brzezinski of ‘Morning Joe’ , had this to say about the ad. “Everything from the production of it to the looming voice, to the issues. This is not what her brand is turning out to be. She should be appealing to women and she should be inspiring them and having a positive message, and — yikes, I cringed watching that.” Continue reading…

Enterovirus Infecting Kids

Have you heard about this virus?  No?  Its a virus that is spreading though children all across the country.  It acts like a normal cold, but can quickly turn into a serious illness.  It effects children and teens the most, as they do not have the immunity of previous infections.

If you look at other news sites you will be hard pressed to find anything about it.  CNN has an article about cat guilty of bashing dogs and how 800,000 bees attacked people, but no mention of this virus. Continue reading…

CDC Cheif Opposes Travel Restrictions

A few days ago Kerry came out defending the reason why the Adminstration has not enforced any travel restrictions on countries with Ebola.  Now the CDC Chief, Tom Frieden, has come out in support of the no travel restriction.

“We don’t want to isolate parts of the world, or people who aren’t sick, because that’s going to drive patients with Ebola underground, making it infinitely more difficult to address the outbreak,” Frieden stated.

Is it right, is it wrong, the costs of getting this wrong are tremendous. Continue reading…

Obama Administration on Ebola

The first person confirmed in the USA with Ebola has passed away.  His death is tragic, yet what is truly disheartening is the response of the administration.

“We need airlines to continue to operate in West Africa, and we need borders to remain open,” said Kerry. And we need to strengthen the medivac capacity. We need countries to contribute for Ebola treatment centers and we need other African countries with the capacity to send responders to join the effort and we need to make sure the health-care workers who go properly trained, properly equipped, and supported in order to prevent additional infections.” Continue reading…

Public Disagrees With Administraion on Economy, Poll

According to many democrats, like Obama, Reid and Pelosi, the economy is the best its been in years.  They stand up touting the number of jobs and the unemployment numbers.

However, that chest-beating the democrats are doing on the economy a recent CNBC poll has not translated to good news for democrats.  Instead, with new numbers, the results are not good.  Only 24% of Americans think the economy is improving. Continue reading…

Raven-Symone Rejects Labelling

In a shock to the liberal world actress and singer Raven-Symone made a statement to Oprah that is something everyone should be applauding.  Instead, it left the leftwing Oprah struggling in shock and close to verbally attacking the actress for her opinion.

“I’m tired of being labeled. I’m an American. I’m not an African-American; I’m an American,” Raven said.

That comment sparked a surprising reaction from Oprah, she almost sounded like she wanted her fans to attack Raven for expressing a comment about not labeling people.  Indeed Oprah mentioned twitter and how it would lit up from Raven’s comment. Continue reading…

Liberals Attack Maher Again over Islam

Last Friday Bill Maher once again went against the standing liberal talking points when it comes to islam.  He once more went after liberals for their lack of knowledge of radical islam.

On the other side this time was a liberal actor, Ben Affleck.  Maher did not let up, and indeed stated the following:

“It’s the only religion that acts like the mafia,” he said. “That will f***ing kill you if you say the wrong thing, paint the wrong picture or write the wrong book.”

Of course, Affleck, like all liberals have to turn the conversation from what is really happening to blaming the USA.  He does this by stating that the USA has killed more muslims than muslims have killed US citizens.  He also brought up stereotyping and racism.  To this charge Maher replied to the accusation. Continue reading…

Michelle Obama on the Economy

Michelle Obama is out on the road trying to talk up votes for the democratic party for the upcoming election.  One of the things she talked about was the economy.  After a jab about the ‘mess’ her husband inherited, a shot at Republicans, and how things are now so much better.

“I’m on the road and he is on the road, because these elections are so important. And it’s important for everyone in this country, all over this country, to understand where we’ve come from because now, less than six years later, with my husband in office, by almost every economic measure, we are better off today than when Barack took office,” Michelle said. Ebola is in the USA

So the first confirmed case of Ebola has shown up here in the USA.  The question now becomes how does the medical and government communities react to prevent it from spreading to more people.

With such a virus spreading though places in Africa, it would be assumed that travel restrictions might be in place.  Hospitals and staff might be concerned with people who show symptoms of the disease, especially if they come from such areas. Continue reading…

The Climate Change Excuse

Lately I’ve read three articles about climate change that had me scratching my head in disbelief that a group, liberals, who claim to be so smart, could print something so dumb.

Now, I’ll say I do want a clean environment for the future.  I do want clean water to drink, clean air to breath, renewable energy which doesn’t poison our air.  But I’m also a realist after 25+ years of this crap.  So when three articles came out, it made me cringe and feel sorry for the climate change people.
