Thought on the Las Vegas Shooting

The shooting in Las Vegas was terrible, make no mistake about it.  But, as someone who tries to look beyond the event, I had several thoughts.

First off, how were the different sides going to react?

I knew this question would all depend on the race, and religion of the shooter.  What sickened me was the reaction by a faction of the left which saw the event, a country concert, and made it a political one.  There were tweets by many talking about they were glad, and hoped a lot of Trump supporters were killed.

Yeah, way to go left, way to be supportive of people who just lost a loved one.  Doesn’t matter which political party, or who they voted for. Continue reading…

Videos and the Media

I realized as I watched the news that I’m becoming more and more skeptical of videos shown on the news (and audio clips).  Such videos no longer have that same shock impact, or unbiased observer they once had years ago where a video was proof positive of what happened.

News agencies are being caught more and more having doctored the video, or leaving out some important part.  They filter the video for their own political narrative these days.

Questions are raised in my head about if the video was edited.  What happened before the video occurred?  Is it staged?  What else was going on?

The simple questions we all should ask when seeing videos. Continue reading…

Alejandro Villanueva Stands

Well last weekend a Pittsburgh Steeler, Alejandro Villanueva, came out of the locker room and stood for the national anthem.  Doing so was his right, the same right Kaepernick had to kneel.  But Villanueva was forced to apologize for his actions while Kap did not.

So what’s the difference between the two?

Villanueva stood which goes against the leftists agenda.  So as a result the left berated him, shamed him, attacked him until he apologized.

Villanueva stood for what he believed.  He should be allowed to do so as much as Kaepernick knelt.  If you are for freedom of speech, you should allow both.

But it seemed the team didn’t agree.  I’m sure that privately some on the Steelers do not agree with the stand, but coming out publically would cause the media and leftists to attack them.

So much for freedom of speech. Once again, its freedom of speech, as long as you agree with what I say.

Snowflakes Mentally Tough?

A few months ago my leftist friends posted a lot of things about how they were not snowflakes.  They were mentally tough, and so on and so forth.  I let it go, wasn’t worth anything back then.

Fast forward to today and things have changed quite a bit now.  The left has become more of a snowflake than ever before while showing time and again how mentally unstable, and immature they are.

First there was a few weeks ago the incident with ESPN and an announcer, Robert Lee (who was Asian by the way).  The decision was made for him not to announce a game of the University of Virginia’s home opener so as to not offend anyone there by his name.  Really?  If some dude’s name offends you that much, you have a problem.

Second, the twitter picture.  By now, many of you have heard of the woman who went to Hobby Lobby and demanded the company change their decoration after she spotted, in a vase, wait for it, a stalk of cotton.  It was disrespectful of blacks who were slaves and could trigger them.

Now, once more a mere name trigger those on the left.  But instead of no one being harmed, this time it was a charity.  They were having an event which was hosted by a propriety owned by Donald Trump, now President Trump.  These snowflakes were so triggered by the name, they protested it forcing the cancellation of the event.  The only real losers here were the children the event was designed to help.  It once again shows the left is only about a political narrative and they let nothing get in their way, not even children.

So yes, they are snowflakes.  They are not mentally tough.  They are not able to think for themselves.

Absence

Well, I’ve been gone for a month or so, and quite honestly needed the break, and then hurricanes Harvey and Irma hit and with so many other things real life has been, well a bitch.

I do hope to post some new stuff soon.

Needed a break from the endless stupidity of the left which quickly rots your brain.  So I’ve been binge-watching Babylon 5, honestly one of the best sci-fi shows ever made.

With the hurricanes I couldn’t bring myself to make a political post about it unlike so many other.

On a separate note, remember Gold in September.  Please.  Its a great cause, helping children with cancer.

Obama Day!

Well, it appears that Illinois has gone though and passed a bill which would make August 4, a state holiday.  However, you wouldn’t get the day off if you were a state employee.

Now,my thought on all of this, utter nonsense.  Not for it at all.

Then again, I wouldn’t be for it if a state had done any of the past Presidents for the last 100 years or so.  None of them, and that includes Reagan, FDR, Wilson, Eisenhower and the rest.

No!

Then again, I can already see the left calling me racist because I’m not on board with this momentous decision by the state to ‘honor’ Obama.  Its interesting because there is already a shift among blacks that Obama isn’t black either.

It gets very confusing especially if they are doing this to commemorate the first ‘black’ President in US history.  Its of no surprise that the state already has faced backlash from this decision.  Sure, it has some supporters but for me, its a little too early to be doing such things.

I expect the normal name buildings, airports, carriers and such after him, but a day, not for it.  It will take years, if not decades to really start understanding how good, or bad, Obama was as a President.  This only tries to reinforce a belief he was good when the verdict is still out.

Maybe in 10+ years it might be a good idea, but today, no.

Milkshakes, Comics and Tweets

So, there’s been a storm in the comic’s universe lately, aside from the whole SJW is ruining Marvel thing, this was something else.  It appears that a Marvel editor, Heather Antos, posted a pic on twitter of her and several other female employees.

Now, go back years ago before all this SJW triggering over every little thing, and this would have simply been seen as what it is, a group of woman who work at Marvel enjoying some milkshakes.

However, this isn’t the world of yesterday.  This is the world of instant judgement and triggering by all sides.  So let the internet flow. Continue reading…

Britain to Ban New Gas Cars by 2040

So, reading though the news and saw this.  Now I’m all for a cleaner environment and such, but these type of laws always make me wonder if the people who wrote it and passed it understand what will happen?

The obvious thing, its not eliminating gas and diesel cars in 2040, but no new cars will be for sale by then.

It is a first step to eliminating them thought, and while it might help the environment, jury for me is still out wither electric cars are more environmental friendly, there are other problems never thought about.

Let’s look at a few other social and possible economic impacts of the ban and the eventual outcome.

The biggest one, the corner gas station which one sees everywhere.  Continue reading…

Cop Shoots Australian Woman

By now, the news of what happened in Minneapolis may have reached you.

A woman from Auatraila called the cops and upon approaching the officers was shot by one of the officers.

This is something of a dream for those anti-cop hating leftists.  So it begs the question where is the outrage from them? Continue reading…

Racism?

I was watching some videos about Colin Kaepernick and reading through the comments when something struck me, an observation if you will.

A person is racist if they do not support Kap.

Think about that statement.  A person is racist if they don’t support Kap.  They are saying it doesn’t matter who you support, what color that person is, if you don’t support the person they want you to, you are racist.

I got to thinking and have seen this type of behavior among the left-wing now for some time.

Look at Obama, if you didn’t support him, you were racist.  And the last election.  My guy was Ben Carson, but he was viciously attacked by these same ‘tolerant’ and respectful of color left wingers.  It wasn’t the guy (or gal) they wanted so race no longer mattered.

It doesn’t matter how many blacks you support, its all about which black person you support to the left.  Don’t support the right one, and you are racist.

A sad statement for the left which preaches tolerance, yet show time and again how intolerant they are.

One Man and History

We often hear about how I’m only one person, what can I do?  As it turns out, a lot if history has anything to say about it.

A young man, wanting freedom for his country went about to gain that freedom.  However, his actions would shape an entire century for better or worse.

He was a young revolutionary and wanted to gain his country’s freedom by any means necessary.  In fact he has seen a lot according to his young life, so much so he wanted to do something and made this quote:

I am the son of peasants and I know what is happening in the villages. That is why I wanted to take revenge, and I regret nothing.

And about forming a country for which he was so proud of, enough to kill, he said this:

“I am a Yugoslav nationalist, aiming for the unification of all Yugoslavs, and I do not care what form of state, but it must be freed from Austria.”

A young man who was so indoctrinated by propaganda for a nation which didn’t exist, he was willing to do the unthinkable.

So, on June 28, 1914 he set out with a group to assassinate the Archduke of Austria-Hungry, and a man, who perhaps, was really his best hope for getting what he wanted.  Instead, he shot and killed another man, setting off a chain reaction which was all but unstoppable.

The cost, some 16 million died in the trenches of the first great world war, and killed many civilians.  The result would be a rapid world-wide epidemic made worse by men returning from Europe.

The war would create the pathway for the next great war, one which would see almost 3% of Earth’s population die and spread across the globe.  The result of that war would create the Cold War which helped shape our current world today.

Gavrilo Princip, with a vision of propaganda set out and set in motion the events which would shape our world today.

For better or worse, he shows that one can shape the world, but the results may not be to our liking.  Yogoslavia no longer exists, and his home area is still an area of unrest in Europe with civil wars still brewing.

Was he successful, no.  He didn’t have a clear endgame like so many which is a true shame because you can effect things, but without a plan the result could be even worse for everyone.

Things That Make You Go, Huh?

George Clooney, the actor who has been outspoken against Trump and his stand against illegal immigration.  Clooney has stated that the President is an ‘idiot’ and is ‘intolerant’.

Clooney went so far as to move from the US, one of the few who did, to the UK.  HE’s even said the following about Angela Merkel’s stance in Germany:

I absolutely agreed with it in the beginning .. it is an amazing policy. […] So, you’re hoping to encourage that behavior because it’s been sort of a beacon in the rest of Europe particularly.
And when speaking of the US, he had this to say:
the United States needs to do more. 10,000 refugees a year is not enough
But, in recent attacks in London over the past couple of months Clooney has made another statement.
With the knowledge that he will have a family, suddenly security is important to him, or at least his family.  He moved from London because it wasn’t secure enough?  Its ironic that the country he blasted for not letting in enough migrants, is the country he is returning to for security for his family.
Mr. Clooney, perhaps its more secure because the country isn’t letting in as many migrants?  Then again, the crazy left doesn’t seem to understand that logic.
